
Lions, Tigers compete in New Salem Track MeetLinton and Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock were among some of the top teams in the state to compete in the New Salem Invitational Track Meet, held May 3, at the Bismarck Community Bowl. In the Girls Division, H-M-B placed in 3 events to score 6.5 points. Kaylin Sheets placed 8th in the high jump (4' 9") and tied for 7th place in the long jump (15' 2"), while Jessica Weiser came away with 5th place in the 100-meter dash (:13.19). Linton scored 19 points in the Boys Division, paced by a 3rd place finish in the 400-meter relay (:45.77), and a 4th place finish in the 3,200-meter relay (8:52.14). Individual place winners for the Lions were Colin Hulm and Kevin Schneider. Hulm placed 4th in the 300-meter hurdles (:42.24), while Schneider placed 6th in the triple jump (38' 7"). Matthew Schumacher was H-M-Bs lone place winner in the Boys Division, as he finished 8th in the high jump (5' 6"). |
