Linton Lions—2008 SCC Track Meet Champions

Linton captured first place in the 400-meter (:45.85) and 3,200-meter (9:32.70) relays, and finished 2nd in the 800-meter (1:40.26) and 1,600-meter (4:00.03) relays, and the Lions had 3 champions and 6 runners-up in the individual competiton.

Leading the way was Kevin Schneider, who won the long jump (17' 8.75") and triple jump (38' 2") events. Alex Deis was the only other individual champion for Linton, as he crossed the tape first in the 100-meter dash (:11.45).

Colin Hulm placed 2nd in both the 200-meter dash (:24.04) and 300-meter hurdles (:43.00); Zach Tesky placed 2nd in the 400-meter dash (:54.20), Brady Weber placed 2nd in the 800-meter run (2:09.69), Terrence Vetter placed 2nd in the 1,600-meter run (5:01.16) and Craig Schatz placed 2nd in the shot put (41' 3").

H-M-B finished 5th with 38 points, led by Matthew Schumacher’s 3rd place finishes in the triple jump (36' 4.5") and high jump (5' 8"); and Devin Roehrich of Strasburg was the runner-up in the 3,200-meter run (11:54.03).
