EC Wildlife Club holds Big Buck/Doe Contest



The Emmons County Wildlife Club and the Happy Hour Bar of Linton co-sponsored the 2012 Big Buck/Doe Contest. Participants needed to pre-register before noon on opening day (Nov. 9), and weigh-ins were held at the Happy Hour Bar and Bayside Oahe Resort of Linton. The contest ended on the final day of the season, and the first, second and third place winners in each category received a percentage of the entry fees plus a cash pay-out from the Emmons County Wildlife Club. Above, the Ray and Nicki Serr family of Linton captured two-thirds of placings in the contest. Ray (right) won first place in the Biggest Buck Contest (200.4 lbs.), while the other members of the family won the top three prizes in the Biggest Doe Contest.
