Jan. 13, 2003 (HERREID, S.D.)—Herreid outscored Strasburg-Zeeland, 14-2, over the final 5:00 to pull out a 62-54 victory over the Clippers. Russ Ebel (20), Jesse Rueb (15) and Patrick Madden (12) each scored in double figures for the Yellowjackets. Brian Dykema scored a game-high 23 points for Strasburg-Zeeland, and Josh Volk and David Van Boven added 13 and 9 points, respectively, for the Clippers.

Jan. 16, 1993 ( ZEELAND) —Milton Keller tallied game-highs with 22 points and 10 rebounds, and Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock improved to 8-1 with a 67- 41 victory over the Zeeland Vikings. John Krumm added 18 points, James Silvernagel netted 11, and Deon Hammer chipped in 8 points for the Tigers. Jeremy Levi led Zeeland with 15 points, while Mike Kilber scored 11 points, and Mike Eberle netted 6 points for the Vikings.

Jan.15,1983(MAYVILLE) —Top-rated Lisbon outlasted second-ranked Linton, 29-24, to capture the championship of the Mayville-Portland Invitational Dual Tournament. The teams split the 12 bouts between them, but Lisbon got pins from Mitch Elijah (98), JeffAberle (132) and Jeff Muralt (167), a superior decision by Scott Rieger (155), and decisions by Jeff Haecherl (119) and Walt Johnson (138). Linton’s points came on pins by Ron Mosset (105) and Tim Silbernagel (112); and decisions by Gerald Jacob (126), Al Schmidt (145), Toby Vetter (185) and Steve Jahner (Hwt.). Linton advanced to the championship by whipping Larimore, 55-3, in the opening round, and defeating Central Cass, 39-9, in the semi-finals.
