L-HMB sports’ teams note schedule changes
Linton High School Athletic Director Dan Imdieke announced changes in the upcoming schedule for the Linton-HMB winter sports teams.
Linton-HMB will host a tripleheader on Thursday, Jan. 24, featuring the Lion Wrestling and Boys’ Basketball teams, and the Lady Lion Girls’ Basketball team.
Action begins with Linton-HMB taking on Oakes in a wrestling dual, which is slated to begin at 4 p.m., in the Linton High School Gym. Oakes is the four-time defending State Individual Tournament Champion, and the Tornadoes are currently ranked second in the State Class B Wrestling Poll.
Later, Linton-HMB will host South Border for a Boys’-Girls’Basketball doubleheader.
The Girls’ varsity game will tip off at 6 p.m., followed by the Boys’varsity game (approximately 7:30 p.m.). Both games will be held in the LHS Gym. Junior varsity games are slated in the Linton Elementary Gym, with the Girls’ game tipping off at 4 p.m., followed by the Boys’ game at 5:15.
Another change in the schedule is the Linton-HMB Boys’ Basketball game with Shiloh Christian, which was originally scheduled to be played at the Ben Kalberer Gymnasium in Hazelton on Thursday, Feb. 7.
The game has been rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 8, in the Linton High School Gym. Action will tip off with the junior varsity game at 6 p.m., followed by the varsity game at 7:30.
