According to Stacy’s mom, Paula Kelsch, she always knew Stacy had an interest in styling hair.

“I remember Stacy playing with friend’s hair when she was a young kid. In high school, she was always doing her girlfriend’s hair-dos for their proms,” Kelsch said.

Stacy Voller recently opened up her own salon on main street in Linton. She is located in the building that her grandparents, Richard and Janice Smith, own.

“I really wanted to have my own business, and Grandpa was looking for a renter. I thought this was a good opportunity for me to have my own space, and help my Grandpa, too,” Voller said.

Voller agrees with her mom, remembering she always loved to do hair. She acquired an interest also from her great aunt, Jan Bauer, who has been a hairdresser for many years in Fargo and Detroit Lakes, Minn.
