Stacy’s Hair Hut Salon is now open
“I remember Stacy playing with friend’s hair when she was a young kid. In high school, she was always doing her girlfriend’s hair-dos for their proms,” Kelsch said.
Stacy Voller recently opened up her own salon on main street in Linton. She is located in the building that her grandparents, Richard and Janice Smith, own.
“I really wanted to have my own business, and Grandpa was looking for a renter. I thought this was a good opportunity for me to have my own space, and help my Grandpa, too,” Voller said.
Voller agrees with her mom, remembering she always loved to do hair. She acquired an interest also from her great aunt, Jan Bauer, who has been a hairdresser for many years in Fargo and Detroit Lakes, Minn.
Stacy uses the Paul Mitchell color line and sells Paul Mitchell Products, along with Big and Sexy and many other hair products.
Stacy’s Hair Hut Salon is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays vary. For an appointment, call 701-254- 5739 and also, walk ins are always welcome.
Stacy is the daughter of Lee Vander Vorste of Rapid City, S.D. and Paula Kelsch of Linton. She graduated from Linton High School in 2008, attended Bismarck State College and received her degree in business management in 2010.
After graduating from BSC, Voller enrolled at Paul Mitchell School in Bismarck, and completed her training in May of 2011. She worked at Unique Attractions in Linton from May of 2011 through July of 2012.
