Braddock

Carol Mock spent part of this week in Bismarck with her children, Jay. Dawn, Michael, Nicholas, and Christopher Mock. On Friday another daughter Lynne, Dr. John Mari and son, Jarret arrived from Fargo . Son, Jarret was in a hockey tournament over the weekend in Bismarck-Mandan which they all attended as Fargo won two games. On Saturday morning a little grandson Christopher played soccer and Nicholas had a basketball game. Eric, Lindsay, and Nevaeh Mock and Tyler Mock and fiance, Susan also attended the games. Monday evening the gang attended the All City Music Concert at the Civic Center where Michael Mock sang with the Horizon 9th. grade choir (The Governor’s Choir). Carol returned home on Tuesday by Transit.

A butchering crew came to the Bob and Lori Leier home on Saturday and they were immediately put to work. The crew consisted of Linda Horner, Mandan; Janet and Ole Swanson, Bismarck; Joyce Moore, Aberdeen, S.D.; and Lugard Leier, Braddock. A neighbor Duane Leier came over to enjoy the activity.

Andy and Joan Schmidt went to Bismarck on Saturday afternoon to visit John Leier at Edgewood Vista. They also saw Lois Baumgartner who lives there too and with Glenn and Tine Leier and boys who also came to visit John.

Mike and Becky Small, Fonda and David Wolbaum, David and Sandra Baumgartner, Andy and Joan Schmidt and Kelly and Kelley Grenz went to Lincoln on Saturday evening for the HMB school staff Christmas party at the Tumbleweed. They all enjoyed a visit with Carter and Renee Jangula who live in Lincoln.

Andy and Joan Schmidt were overnight visitors at the Dennis and Laura Dockter home in Bismarck and on Sunday attended Mass at the Cathedral and had breakfast at Perkins.

Last weekend Mark and Mary Bruun went to Fargo for the wedding of their great-nephew, Tony Larson and LaCarra Senn. They also visited with Mary’s mother, Margaret Lyun, and Mary’s brother and other family.

Mark and Mary Bruun attended the 4th and 5th grade music concert in which their granddaughter, Ana Ross, performed.

Now and then it’s good to pause in our pursuit of happiness and just be happy!
