Harold Ryckman is here on a regular basis to visit with Mary Ryckman. Also stopping in was Ed Langeliers.

Clinton Dykema had company to include Frances Nieuwsma and Carol Jean and Ernie Dykema.

Visiting Lucinda Schneider this past week was Matt Schneider on several occasions. Also stopping in were Chuck and Mary Vetter, Chuck and Gloria Heidrich, Mark and Fran Heidrich, and Caroline Ternes.

Visiting Irene Baumgartner on a regular basis is Andy Baumgartner. She also had company to include Joe T Baumgartner, Pete, Janel, andAshley Baumgartner, and Eddie Kramer Sr.

Visiting with Harley and Marion Vander Vorst were Leann Jakobsen and Mark Vander Vorst.

Those stopping in to visit with Margaret Baumgartner were Joe T. Baumgartner, Joey Baumgartner, and Michael Baumgartner.

Those stopping to visit with Madge Leier wereAl Leier on several occasions. Also stopping by were Larry Leier and Bruce and Judy Leier.

Ellen Tuttle had lots of company this past week to include Pastor Paul, Judy Rice, Ann Langeliers, Mike Ballard, Carol Serr, Peggy Van Beek, Carl Snyder, Jane Conn, and Jonathan Snyder.

Visiting Valerie Heim this past week was Pat Horner on several occasions.

Visiting with Irene Jahner was Kathy Kramer.

Eddie Kramer Sr. comes to the nursing home on a regular basis to visit with his wife, Helen, and with many of the other residents.Also stopping in was Kathy Nagel and Gary and Nattie Nagel.

Visiting with Irene Will were Larry, Sharon, and Carmen Will, Curt Will, Deb Hochhalter, and Kayla Hendrickson.

Visiting Marie Dryja was Leslie Jenner.

Stopping to visit with Julia Kiefer were Joe and Louann Kiefer, Liam Kiefer, and Tom and Diane Kiefer.

Stopping in to visit with Alvin Sauter were Evan, Jade, Eli, and Landyn Sauter, Pastor Paul, Eric Sauter, Ralph and Eleanor Nieuwsma, Mikayla and Michele Meidinger, Vernon and Florence Wagner, and Sara Sauter. On the 26th, Alvin has supper at Webo’s in Linton with Eric, Sara, Landyn and Evan Sauter. On the 27th, Alvin spent the day at the farm with the Evan Sauter family.

Donnie Peterson had lots of company before his passing to include Judy Umber on a regular basis, James Berreth, Daniel Peterson, Tori and Taylor Madden, Teddie Vander Vorste, Pastor Floyd Haan, and Barbara Fjeldheim,

Della Kary and Ruth Mittleider were here to visit with Eileen Gienger.

Stopping in to visit with Alvena Hehn was Marlene Dykema.

Those stopping by to visit with Martha Heier were Kathy Hoffman and Florence Wittmeier.

Freda Kiemele’s company this past week was Ty and Jaden MacDonald, Jerilyn MacDonald, Della Beck, Darlene Loebs, and Vern and Florence Wagner.

Visiting with Bernice Kautz were Les Kautz, Mike Ballard, Carl Snyder, Jane Conn, and Jonathan Snyder.

David Conn’s company this past week was Carl Snyder, Jonathan Snyder, and Jane Conn.

Virginia Mitzel visited with many of the residents that she has come to know over the years.

Francis, Carol, and Jessi Gabriel were here to visit with Frank Gabriel.

Visiting Kathryn Klein were Lee and Sharon Klein and Eddie Kramer Sr.

Leonard Weichel came to visit with his mother, Rose Weichel.

Those visiting Andy Feist this past week were Chuck Vetter and Ernie Dykema.

Cindy Bertsch came by to visit with Eugene Rahrich.

Ruth Mittleider was here to visit with Bernese Renz and Billy DuBois.

On Thursday morning, the residents were invited to the dining room for something new in Bingo, coffee, and a snack. The residents enjoyed sharing stories with each other. Current events and let’s exercise followed in the activity room and in the B-wing south solarium. The monthly volunteer meeting and dinner was held later in the activity room for all the volunteers to attend. Thank you, volunteers, for all you do to make the residents feel so special. They enjoy seeing your smiling faces and friendly visits. Later, the residents enjoyed scripture with Carol Jean Dykema in the chapel. Thank you, Carol Jean, for your scripture lessons. Also, thank you to Marilyn Voller for playing the piano for the hymnal singing. The residents look forward to the weekly scripture lessons. Jell-O and a choice of beverage were served for lunch. The residents were invited to the activity room later in the afternoon for Wii bowling. We had several excited residents waiting their turn for attempting the Wii. There was great competition amongst the residents. Thank you to all who participated. Fun and lots of cheering was heard coming from the activity room. In the evening, Name 10 Game was enjoyed by the residents. The residents were quite good with answering the questions that were asked by the activity person Ann Langeliers. Thank you, Ann, for a fun evening.

Friday morning, coffee and something new in Bingo was offered to the residents in the dining room followed by manicures in the activity room. The ladies look forward to having their nails trimmed and polished. Thank you, activity staff, for pampering the ladies. Make-n-Bake and It’s In The Bag were the activities in the dining room in the afternoon. Peanut butter balls were made. The residents were quite amazed at the activity. Thank you, residents, for your help. Also, thank you to Rosemary Schaefbauer, Rita Mastel, and Jeanette Tschosik for all of your help. Pizza and pop was served for lunch. The dining room was the place to be for the Friday night activity, Flippo. The residents were lined up waiting to play. Candy bars were given for prizes. The residents winning the Flippo draw for a dollar were Andy Feist, Minnie Geigle, Rudy Beska, Julia Kiefer, and Rose Wald.

The Saturday morning activities consisted of coffee and SNIB followed by current events and let’s exercise. The afternoon’s resident’s choice activity was Penny Ante. The residents got to learn several things about each other with this activity. For lunch, doughnuts along with a beverage were served.

On Sunday morning, Mass on TV was held in the activity room followed by current events and let’s exercise. The Assembly of God Church was in charge of the Protestant Church Services. The service was held in the chapel under the direction of the Rev. Geary Dodd. Thank you, Rev. Dodd, for the nice service. Also, thank you to Beverly Dodd for playing the piano for the service. A time of fellowship followed in the dining room. Warm cookies and a choice of beverage were served.

Monday morning, the day started with the residents enjoying a cup of coffee while they visited and had a snack. Current events and let’s exercise was held in the activity room and the B-wing south solarium. The residents look forward to hearing the top stories from the Bismarck Tribune. In the afternoon, the residents enjoyed coming to the dining room to listen and watch the Zeeland Elementary School do a musical program. Following the program, the students provided a variety of grams for the residents to attempt. Thank you, students and teachers, for an entertaining afternoon. Also, thank you for the beautiful Valentine’s that you all made and gave to each of the residents. It sure put smiles on their faces. Lemon bars and a choice of beverage were served for lunch. Thank you, dietary, for preparing the delicious bars. The residents gathered in the activity room Monday evening for Take A Guess Trivia. The residents did so well guessing the answers to the questions asked by activity person Diane Kiefer. The residents participated well. Thank you, Diane, for a fun and interesting evening.

On Tuesday morning, the residents attended SNIB and coffee in the dining room and visited with their friends while having a snack and their coffee; this was later followed by current events and let’s exercise. Book club was held in the activity room after dinner. Thank you to Viola Gefroh for leading the book club. Following book club, the residents attended Resident Council to choose certain meals and activities for the upcoming month. Good discussion was held. For lunch, sour cream raisin bars and a choice of beverage were served. Flippo was the activity the residents were excited to play in the evening. Cash was given to each Flippo winner. Fun was had by all.

Rosary and Mass was offered to the residents in the morning in the chapel led by Fr. Jason. Thank you, Fr. Jason, for your services. Coffee and something new in Bingo followed the services in the dining room for the residents and visitors to enjoy. Feel good group was a hit in the activity room later in the morning. Some of the residents enjoyed a manicure while others enjoyed having their hair fixed. The ladies all looked so nice when leaving the activity room. Thank you, activity staff, for doing such as great job with the residents. The Strasburg KCs provided cash Bingo for the afternoon program. The residents always look forward to a game of Bingo. The blackout winner was Bernice Wolf. They also provided carrot cake for lunch along with a choice of beverage. Thank you all for a fun-filled afternoon. The Emmons County Record and the Prairie Pioneer was read later in the afternoon by the activity staff. The residents enjoy listening to the news from the surrounding areas. Mollie B on TV was enjoyed in the activity room after supper. Thank you to Mary Feist for the items she donated to the resident’s shopping cart.

We express our sincere sympathy to the family of Donnie Peterson. He recently passed way in our facility. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family.
