Karlee Feist joins FCCLA members to sit in on North Dakota Legislative Session
Karlee is a senior at Linton High School, and she represents District 6 on the State FCCLA Board. Feist had the opportunity to sit with Jessica Haak, who was elected to the North Dakota House of Representatives out of District 12, in November 2012. Haak, who lives in Jamestown, is a 2004 graduate of Herreid (SD) High School, and the daughter of James and Lu- Cinda Haak of Linton.
Other State FCCLA members who joined Feist at the N.D. Legislative Session were State FCCLA President Emily Ramage, District Officer Dillon Smith and Trevor Alveshere (National FCCLA STAR participant), all of Watford City; and State Officer Thomas Muscha of Harvey. Trevor Alveshere is the son of former Linton residents Lloyd and Ardice Alveshere.
Feist was elected to the State FCCLA Office during the State FCCLA Leadership Conference inApril 2012. She has been active in FCCLA at Linton High School for the past five years, and her advisor is Mrs. Jackie Wald.
Feist has performed very well in the district, state and national levels of the STAR (Students Taking Action for Recognition) events sponsored by FCCLA. She has received Gold stars at the District 6 Conventions the past three years, and earned a Gold star in the STAR competition at the State FCCLA Conven- tions in 2010 and 2012.
Feist competed in STAR events at the National FCCLA Leadership Conference in Chicago, Ill., in 2010; and at the National FCCLALeadership Conference in Orlando, Fla., last summer.
Karlee is the daughter of Gordon and Laura Feist of Linton; and she is the granddaughter of Albert and Angeline Feist of Strasburg, and Irene Rohrich of Linton.
