NRCS offers assistance to improve grazing land

NRCS is offering financial and technical assistance to help producers improve grazing land opportunities on expired CRP acres and other grasslands.

This EQIP project will focus on CRP lands in central and eastern North Dakota to enhance livestock production and maximize environmental benefits. Producers may also participate in and received additional payments for a carbon credit program administered by Ducks Unlimited.

NRCS can assist with conservation practices such as:

• Fence Installations— Cross and Border Fencing.

• Water Infrastructure Developments — Wells, Springs, Etc.

• Prescribed Grazing, and other practices to enhance grazing opportunities.

Applications received by close of business on Fri., March 15, will be eligible for fiscal year 2013 funding consideration.

All programs and services are offered on a non-discriminatory basis.
