Angelus ‘Joe’ Jochim, 80, of Bismarck
Angelus “Joe” Jochim, 80, Bismarck, died Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013, in a Bismarck care center.
Joe was bornAug. 13, 1932, to George andAnna (Kramer) Jochim in Strasburg. He was raised and educated in Strasburg. Joe joined the U.S. Army and served for two years. He married Anna Lacher on June 23, 1972.
Joe is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna; his son, Alan (Jacque), Salem, Ore.; his daughter, Dianna (Tony) Dollar, Seattle, Wash.; his stepchildren, Dennis (Janice) Hammling, Washburn, Karen (Don) Grenstiner, Marysville, Mich., and Judy (Chuck) Turner, Medina, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Luella Keller; his aunts, Belle (Joe) Fettig, Rose Rakin and Josephine (John) Bolen; and his uncles, Eddie (Helen) Kramer and Gene Kramer.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Gladys Calheim; and one brother-in-law, Leo Keller.
Mass of Christian burial was held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, Bismarck, with the Rev. Nick Schneider officiating.
Burial was at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery.
