Clifford Werre, 76, of Kintyre

Clifford Werre, 76, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, near Kintyre.

Clifford was born on Nov. 25, 1936, in Wishek the son of George and Magdalena (Sayler) Werre. He was raised and educated in Wishek.

Cliff married Darlene Hoffman in Eureka, S.D. Cliff served in the U.S.Army. Following his discharge, he farmed near Long Lake, S.D., for several years. Cliff moved to Napoleon where he worked construction.

Cliff married Alice West in Logan County on July 22, 1966. Following their mar- riage, they lived in Kintyre where he owned and operated Werre Livestock Trucking. He retired in 2010.

He is survived by his wife, Alice, Kintyre; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin and Christy Werre, Bismarck and Scott and Collette Werre, Brookings, S.D.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Korlene and Garlin Schmidt, Kintyre, and Sheila and Doug Barnett, Wessington Springs, S.D.; 12 grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and a sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Leroy Bendewald, Oakes.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Kasey, and a granddaughter, Angel Werre.

Funeral services were held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb 28, 2013, at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, with the Rev. Greg Runyon officiating. Casketbearers were all of Cliff’s family and friends.

Burial will be in the Tell Cemetery, Kintyre, in the spring of 2013.
