The Art of Cooking

This week I will feature Madelyn Kramer, a senior, of Strasburg High School.

While in high school she has been active in SADD, National Honor Society, yearbook staff, Close Up, volleyball and basketball.

She plans on attending the University of Mary, Bismarck in the fall to major in nursing.

Her parents are Mark and Dana Kramer.

Grape Salad
3 lbs. red or green grapes (or both)
1/4 to 1/2 c. sugar
8 oz. sour cream
8 oz. cream cheese
1 tsp. vanilla
Mix together with mixer and add grapes. Spread in 9x13 pan.
Topping: 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
1/2 c. to 1 c. light brown sugar
Mix together and sprinkle on top
Scotcharoos
2 c. Karo syrup
2 c. sugar
2 c. peanut butter
Bring to a boil—remove from heat and add 10 cups of Rice Krispies
Spread in a greased jelly roll pan
Melt:
1 pkg. chocolate chips
1 pkg. butterscotch chips
Spread on top of Rice Krispies.
