Sebastian Meier Jr., 66, of Regent

Sebastian Meier Jr., 66, of Regent passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Eventide Care facility after a long illness of Pick’s Disease.

Sebastian was born at home in McIntosh County to Sebastian and Katherine (Braun) Meier on July 31, 1946. He received his education at Zeeland.

After working for area farmers, he went to work as a heavy equipment operator for Moos Construction in Bismarck. He made the move to Regent with the company, where he met and married his wife, Charlotte Miller, at St. Patrick’s Church in Dickinson on Sept. 5, 1970. To this union, they were blessed with three children.

He will remain in the hearts forever of his surviving family, his wife of 42 years, Charlotte (Miller) Meier; his sons, Gregory, Dickinson, and Brian (Janell), Fargo; his daughter, Carmel (Chris Hardison), Fargo; his father, Sebastian Meier Sr., Zeeland; his brothers, Alvin (Darlene), Dickinson, Magnus (Grace), Hettinger, Joe (Jill), Bismarck, and Gerard

(Dorothy), Zeeland; and his sisters, Katherine (Victor) Geiger, Mandan, Sara (Rodney) Heiser, Aberdeen, S.D., and Rita (Terry) Bisbee, Hutchinson, Minn., and by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine.

Mass of Christian burial was held at 11 a.m. MST Thursday, March 7, 2013, at St. Henry’s Church, Regent.
