25 YEARS

American Legion Gaming Committee makes donation to keep Linton nursery school operating. Grouse blind to open at Long Lake Refuge. Bids opened for Union School District’s one-room school project.

50 YEARS

U.S. Department of Agriculture leases the former Red Owl Store in Linton. A full-blown blizzard started in the area after snow began falling and by noon a strong NE wind developed.

75 YEARS

Farmers start plowing; but too early to start seeding. American Legion Auxiliary, Linton calls meeting to discuss possibility of organizing PTAand all attending favored such an organization.
