Rose Wald visits with Martin Wald on a regular basis. Also stopping in was Marlene Baumgartner.

Harold Ryckman is here on a regular basis to visit with Mary Ryckman.Also visiting were Jessye Eberhart, Jerome Pool, and Arlyn Van Beek.

Clinton Dykema had company to include Jessye Eberhart, Ron and Loreli Dykema, and Carol Jean and Ernie Dykema.

VisitingLucindaSchneider this past week was Matt Schneider on several occasions. Also stopping in were Jerome Pool and Eldon Nelson.

Those visiting with Bob Schreiner were Mark Schreiner on several occasions.

Visiting with Harley and Marion Vander Vorst were Michael and Karen Vander Vorst, Mark Vander Vorst, Dale Vander Vorst, Leanne Jakobsen, Vicki Jakobsen, Jim and Deb Vander Vorst, and Jerome Pool.

Visiting Valerie Heim this past week was Pat Horner on several occasions. Also stopping by were Janet Gill, Rose N. Volk, Casey Rossow, and Todd Maier.

Ellen Tuttle had lots of company this past week to include Della Beck, Carl Snyder, Jane Conn, and John and Mike Ballard.

VisitingIreneBaumgartner on a regular basis is Andy Baumgartner. She also had company to include Irene Heidrich, Jim and Dianne Heidrich, Irene Buechler, Regina Senger, Maggie Krumm, Pete and Janel Baumgartner, Ashley Baumgartner, Margaret Baumgartner, and Tony and Janice Baumgartner.

Those stopping to visit with Madge Leier were Al Leier on several occasions. Also stopping in was Bruce Leier.

Those stopping in to visit with Margaret Baumgartner were Jim and Betty Barth and Joe T. Baumgartner.

Visiting with Irene Jahner was Kathy Kramer.

Freda Kiemele’s company this past week was Della Beck.

Stopping by to visit with Martha Heier were Tim and Jane Heier, Bill and Chris Heier, Leo and Johanna Heier, Kathy Hoffman, and Tillie Droog.

Eddie Kramer Sr. comes to the nursing home on a regular basis to visit with his wife, Helen, and with many of the other residents. Also stopping in were Eddie Jr., Lori, Nicolas, and Mac Kramer, Rose Wald, Gary Cowboy, Angie Hager, Dennis and Doris Dykema, and John Burgad.

Visiting with Wilma Myers were Ron, Richelle, and Hayley Jangula and Jerome Pool.

Alice Heidrich’s visitors have been Irene Heidrich and Jim and Dianne Heidrich.

Visiting with Minnie Geigle were Russ, Kristin, Summer, Emma, Brady, and Trevor Schick, Norman and Carol Schick, and Dale Schick.

Stopping in to visit with Eileen Gienger this past week were Pastor Ramona Hayes, Leo and Johanna Heier, Connie Hagen, and Delores Deibert.

Andy Feist’s company this past week was Della Beck.

Visiting with Rose Weichel were Hayley Jangula, Leonard Weichel, and Jerome Baumgartner.

Visiting with Frank Gabriel this past week were Darin Gabriel and Houston.

Visiting with Dorothy Ryckman were Austin, Sheila, Emma, Jocilynn, and Jakob Vander Wal.

Dorothy Fuhrer’s company this past week was Don and Joanne Fuhrer.

Irene Will had company to include Deb Hochhalter.

Ann Horner is here on a regular basis to visit with her husband, Linus Horner. Also stopping by was Rod Horner.

Visiting with Perry Masset was Wilfred and Veronica Masset and DeLores Masset.

Julia Kiefer’s company this past week was Tom and Diane Kiefer.

Ron Klein was here to visit with Kathryn Klein.

Visiting withAlvena Hehn was Betty Vander Vorst.

Virginia Mitzel stopped in and visited with many of the residents.

Leslie Jenner came by to visit with Marie Dryja.

Della Kary and Ruth Mittleider stopped by to visit with Bernese Renz, Eileen Gienger, and Bernice Renz.

Thursday morning, the residents enjoyed sharing stories and visiting with each other over a beverage and a snack at something new in Bingo and coffee in the dining room. Manicures followed later in the activity room. The ladies enjoy the pampering done by the activity staff. Scripture was enjoyed by the residents in the afternoon in the chapel. Thank you, Carol Jean Dykema, for leading the scripture lesson. Thank you, Marilyn Voller, for providing the music on the piano for the hymnal singing. Following scripture, the residents were asked to come to the dining room for cake and a beverage. Card club was held in the activity room following scripture. There were a few residents that enjoyed playing Pinochle while others played Kings In The Korner. The dining room was the place to be in the evening. Flippo was enjoyed by all. Chex Mix was given to each Flippo winner.

Friday morning, coffee and SNIB was enjoyed by the residents in the dining room. The residents enjoyed visiting with each other over a beverage and a snack. Manicures followed in the activity room. Thank you, activity staff, for making the residents nails look so nice. In the afternoon, the Sts. Peter & Paul’s Spirituality Committee hosted the St. Patrick’s Day party in the dining room. Bingo was a hit. Each Bingo winner received a cash prize. The lucky blackout winners were Martha Heier, Gertie Vander Wal, andAlbert Kraft. The ladies served cupcakes decorated in green frosting along with ice cream. Thank you, ladies. The activity staff served a variety of green beverages, which the residents thought was perfect for the occasion. In the evening, the residents enjoyed coming to the activity room to participate in the St. Patrick’s Day Trivia. The residents did very well with answering the questions asked by activity person Sheila Ohlhauser. Thank you, Sheila, for a fun evening.

The Saturday morning activities consisted of coffee and SNIB in the dining room followed by current events and let’s exercise in the activity room and the B-wing south solarium. The residents look forward to hearing the top stories in the Bismarck Tribune read by the activity staff. The afternoon’s resident’s choice activity was a surprise activity.

ST. PATRICK’S DAY: Sunday morning, the residents were invited to the activity room to watch Mass on TV followed by current events and let’s exercise. In the afternoon, the residents were gathered in the dining room to listening to the Emmons County Community Easter Cantata. Thank you for the beautiful Cantata. What a great afternoon. Frosted brownies and a beverage were served to the residents, guests, and visitors for lunch. The afternoon’s resident’s choice activity was to have no activity. There are always several visitors stopping in to visit with the residents throughout the day.

Monday morning, the activities started out with coffee and something new in Bingo followed by current events and let’s exercise in the activity room and the B-wing south solarium. Book club was offered to the residents in the afternoon followed by cash Bingo. The money was donated by Nancy Gefroh. Thank you for the cash donation. The big blackout winners were Martha Heier and Minnie Geigle. Pumpkin bars with cream cheese frosting and a beverage were served for lunch. Thank you, dietary, for preparing the delicious bars. The activity room was full of excited residents waiting curiously to see what the activity Wear’in Of The Green Trivia was all about. The residents knew several things about the trivia questions that were asked by activity person Sheila Ohlhauser.

Tuesday morning, the residents gathered in the dining room to enjoy a snack while they visited with their friends. Current events and let’s exercise followed to complete the morning activities. In the afternoon, Pastor Geary Dodd was in charge of the Bible study. Thank you, Pastor Dodd. The residents look forward to your next visit. Thank you to the Linton Senior Citizens who came to the facility in the afternoon to entertain the residents. The residents always look forward to your monthly visits. Bismarck’s and a choice of beverage were served for lunch. The evening activity was the game Two Truths and A Lie. There was a lot of laughter coming from the activity room. Thank you to all of the residents that attended and a special thank you to Lori Bechtold, activity person, for the fun activity.

On Wednesday morning, the Catholic residents attended rosary and mass in the chapel. Thank you, Fr. Jason, for leading the mass. Lunch was served in the dining room following the service. The ladies attended feeling good group in the activity room. Thank you, activity staff, for pampering the ladies. Some had a manicure and others had their hair fixed. It’s always a busy place to be on Wednesday mornings. Viola Gefroh, activity person, led the good neighbor group on B-wing before dinner. The residents always enjoy the story and the discussion that follows. Thank you, Viola, In the afternoon, the Strasburg Care Center hosted a Celebrating Home Party. Thank you to Virginia Mitzel from Herreid, S.D., for bringing all of the items to have on display in the activity room. The staff, residents, and visitors spent time browsing through the items Virginia had on display. Thank you to everyone that stopped by. Later in the afternoon, the dining room was filled with residents ready to roll dice to play Farkle. There was a lot of noise as the residents took their turn hoping for the right numbers on their dice. For lunch, blueberry cheesecake and a choice of beverage were served. It was a fun afternoon. Later in the afternoon, the activity staff read the news from the Emmons County Record and the Prairie Pioneer to the residents. Thank you, activity staff. The residents look forward to hearing the local news. In the evening, the residents gathered in the activity room to enjoy the old-time music on the largescreen TV.
