State Line has best tasting water in the state
The State Line Water Cooperative held their annual meeting on Mon., March 18, at the Bakker School at Westfield. Andrew McDonald, Training Specialist for the North Dakota Rural Water System Association presented a trophy to State Line Board Chairman Rick Van Beek in recognition of the co-op’s water being declared the best in the Association’s annual Water Taste Contest. State Line will now be able to enter a water sample to compete at the national level during the National Rural Water Rally in Washington, D.C., next February. Above, McDonald, left, presents the trophy to Van Beek. Board members in the back are, left to right, Russell Ryckman, Secretary Ron Volk, Treasurer Frank Werlinger, Service Manager Mark Vander Vorst and Vice Chairman Jim Vander Vorst. Not pictured is Business Manager Deloris Volk. Ryckman and Werlinger were re-elected to three-year terms. Door prizes of free water were given out, and the directors’ wives served lunch.
