The Linton Elementary School, K-4, held its spring concert on April 18. The theme was “Music Time Machine” and directed by music teacher Mrs. Denise Pfeifer with the first through fourth grade dressing according to the era of the 50s through today. The fourth grade performed “I Gotta Feelin’” by Black Eyed Peas and “Dynamite” by Taio Cruz with intro singers Carter Renz, Hayden Mueller, Erica Umber and Cerasi Voigt.
The first grade class brought back the 50s as they rocked to “Lollipop” by the Chordettes and “Rock Around the Clock” by Haley & the Comets.
To end the evening, the fourth grade class played “Harmonious Buns” and “When The Saints Go Marching In” on their recorders.
The Kindergarten students were dressed as nursery rhyme characters as they performed “5 Little Monkeys,” “Jack Be Nimble” and “Hickory Dickory Dock.”
Summer was definitely in the minds of the second grade class as they sang “Kokomo” by the Beach Boys and “Celebration” by Kool & The Gang.
The 70s and the Village People were part of the third grade class as they performed “Y.M.C.A.” They also performed “We Are Family” by Sister Sledge.
