Emmons County Historical Society held meeting April 18
The Emmons County Historical Society held their quarterly meeting Thursday, April 18 at the Linton Senior Center. Following a shared meal, Mary Ann Gefroh called the meeting to order.
Golf clubs owned by Tom Kleppe, a picture of the Virginia Horner family, an advertising picture of a young girl and stone creations of Dolly Parton and a dog were shared for Show and Tell. The finished Valentine album was displayed.
They welcome donations and ask that they be clean and in good shape. All donations should include a description of the item and who is donating the item.
Plans for the coming year were made. The museum will be open on Friday and Sunday afternoons from Memorial Day to Labor Day from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are needed for hostesses.
The Ice Cream Social will be held on Sunday, July 21 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. There will be music.
Pollock asked to borrow the telephone switchboard in July. Originally it was from Pollock. They will pick it up and return it. It was moved and seconded to lend it to them.
Eva Hanson was reelected for a three-year term as director.
Clean-up day will be Thursday, May 2 at 10:30 a.m. Bring supplies, rags and hot water.
