10 YEARS

Ten musicians and staff members of the National Symphony Orchestra from Washington, D.C. toured the Lawrence Welk birthplace and family home in Strasburg. Owners Mark and Irene Ahrens Fisher of Hot Spot Pizzeria hold grand opening.

25 YEARS

50 YEARS

Linton City Council okays summer band program. Westfield pastor, the Rev. Douglas Vander Hey accepts call to church in Michigan.

Linton Golf Course buys 58 acre course on which the local course has been located.

75 YEARS

Linton will be the center of attraction for boxing fans when fighters from Emmons , Logan and McIntosh counties meet in Linton for elimination battles to choose teams to represent the three counties at the state Golden Glove tournament in Bismarck June 10 and 11. Grasshoppers have started damaging young grain.
