We finally have some sunny days with warmer temperatures. Spring is here with farmers in the field for the first time this past week, and some crocuses have even been spotted! Temperatures are expected to be in the 60s and 70s for the next few days with some possible rain on Wednesday. Green grass is a welcome sight!
Allen Payne from Watertown, S.D., along with Chris, Kaitlynn, and Kaisha, Kevin Payne from Aberdeen, S.D., and Elmer and Cheryl Brandner and Amanda of Linton were weekend guests of Betty Payne.
Elder Ed Nieuwsma presented Betty Payne with a bouquet of flowers at the Sunday morning worship service in appreciation for her 23 years of service as church janitor at Strasburg Reformed Church. Betty completed her duties the end of April. Mary Nieuwsma will be the new church janitor.
The Strasburg City Board had their monthly meeting on Monday, May 6.
Ray Nieuwsma was in Fargo last week for Ag Statistics meetings.
Chris Nieuwsma went to a percussion concert last Monday evening at the Mandan High School, with Middle School and High School students participating under the direction of Brad Stockert.
