Linton hosts Girls’ Golf Tournament

Napoleon shot a 397 to capture the team title of the Linton Invitational Golf Tournament, held May 2, at the Linton Country Club.

South Border finished as the runner-up with a 431, and Linton-HMB placed third with a 436. Edgeley-Kulm also had golfers competing individually, but the Lady Rebels did not keep a team score.

Napoleon had five place winners in the top eight, including the top four place winners. Brianna Wolf was the Medalist with a 96, followed by teammates Shania Gross (99), Jessica Long (100) and Mikayla Young (102).

Hailey Gilstad and Raechelle Salzer of South Border each shot a 103 to place 5th and 6th, respectively, and McKenzie Kramer of Linton-HMB placed 7th with a 105. Rounding out the top eight place winners was Kali Schwartzenberger (106) of Napoleon.

Also competing for Linton-HMB were Anna Vander Laan (106), Sarah Vetter (111), Anna Vetter (114), Sienna Bosch (126) and Cassidy Will (N/A).
