May 7, 2003 (EDGELEY)— Linton shot a 404 to capture its seventh straight South Central Conference Girls Golf title. Jessica Klein of Wishek was the individual Medalist with a 93, but five Lady Lions earned a spot on theAll-SCC team. They were Chelsea Kelsch (2nd-100), Lacy Dockter (3rd-100), Sarah Wangler (4th-101), Megan Carr (6th-103) and Katie Grenz (10th-110). Other All-SCC players were Miranda Salwei of Wishek, Brandi Wald of Edgeley, Amanda Bertsch of Ashley, and Renae Schatz of Napoleon.

May 12, 1988 ( LINTON)— Linton shot a 378 to place 5th in the Linton Invitational Golf Tournament. Carrington captured the team title with a 362, edging runner-up Ellendale (363) by just one stroke. LaMoure came in third with a 368, and Kulm placed fourth with a 374. Ellendale’sAaron Ellingson was the individual Medalist with a 77, and Linton’s Jeff Erickson was the runner-up with an 85. Other golfers for Linton were Eric Koppelman (90), Corey Reeff (100), Jamie Gimbel (103), David Vetter (107) and David Lehr (113).

May 10, 1978 (STRASBURG)— Wagner’s Fairway claimed the Women’s Bowling League championship at the Pin Palace. The team then challenged Linton League champion, Lauinger Lanes, and notched another victory. Members of the team were Margaret Kraft, Bertha Deringer, Barbara Heilman, Martha Wagner, Irene Baumgartner, Bernie Materi and Margaret Lindeman.
