Braddock

Sally Grenz was a recent visitor at the Schmidt home to wish Joan a Happy Birthday.

Toni Hager went to her grandson, Parker’s, basketball game in Washburn on Friday. Shannon, Jackie, Simon and Parker and Toni Hager were supper guests at the Greg and Kenny Cunningham home for supper.

Saturday visitors at the Schmidt home and coming for the Senior Citizens Craft show were Laura Dockter, Andrea and Curt Dockter and Miami and Dave Schmidt all of Bismarck.

Karen Waliser was a Saturday visito at the Sally and Leo Grenz home to wish her mom, Sally, a Happy Birthday.

Allyssa Leier, daughter of Gerald Leier, has completed her first year at the University of Mary. She plans to spend the summer with her family in Alaska.

Lugard Leier attended a reception at the Downtowner in Napoleon for Evan Gross,son of Lori and Steve Gross who recently graduated from the University of Mary. Congratulations.

President Mark Naaden conducted the meeting when the Braddock Rural Fire Protection District held their annual meeting at the Community Hall on May 6. Nick Reamann was elected Fire Chief and Mark Ballinski, Assistant Fire Chief. David Baumgartner is secretary treasurer. Directors are Tim Reamann, Lyle Swanson and Ralph Miller.

Braddock Economic Development members there will be a meeting at the Braddock Community Hall at 8 p.m. on May 21.

Mary and Kevin Vetter of Wahpeton visited her mom Lugard during the weekend.

Joan Schmidt visited with Sally Grenz on Tuesday morning and also with Sally’s grandson, Tommy, and her son, Kelly. They were all observing Sally’s birthday.

Andy Schmidt conducted the meeting and led the Pledge to the Flag when the Braddock Senior Citizens met after dinner on Monday. The treasurer Jean Swanson reported an interesting balance on hand after the successful 3rd Annual Craft Show and Bake Sale held on Sunday.

Laura Dockter of Bismarck was a Thursday afternoon visitor at the Schmidt home.

David and Sandy Baumgartner, Kelly and Kelley Grenz, Fonda Wolbaum and Becky Small and Andy and Joan Schmidt went to Hazelton on Friday evening for the staff appreciation dinner at the Legion Hall. Andy Schmidt received a plaque in recognition of 46 years of bus driving.

Middle age is the awkward period when Father time starts catching up with Mother nature.
