Lady Lions place 2nd; Lions place 4th in SCC Golf Meet

Linton-HMB participated in the Girls’ and Boys’ Divisions of the South Central Conference Golf Meet held May 10, at the Kulm Country Club.

Napoleon cruised to the title in the Girls’ Division with a 363, and Linton-HMB was the runner-up with a 405. South Border (414) placed 3rd, Edgeley-Kulm placed 4th, and other teams competing included Central Prairie, Ellendale and LaMoure/ Litchville-Marion.

Shania Gross of Napoleon was the individual Medalist with an 87, and her teammate, Jessica Long also shot an 87 to finish as the runner-up. Anna Vander Laan (89) of Linton-HMB placed third, while Kali Schwartzenberger (91) and Mikayla Young (98), both of Napoleon, finished 4th and 5th, respectively.

Rounding out the top 10 and All-SCC team were Breanna Paulson (98) of Edgeley-Kulm, Haley Gilstad (99) of South Border, Hannah Wishek (99) of South Border, Abbey Warcken (101) of LaMoure/Litchville- Marion, McKenzie Kramer (102) of Linton-HMB, and Emily Christofferson (102) of Napoleon.

Other individuals for Linton-HMB were Danielle Volk (106), Anna Vetter (108), Sienna Bosch (115) and Sarah Vetter (122).

In the Boys’ Division, South Border claimed the SCC title with a 348, edging runner-up Napoleon (352) by four strokes. Edgeley- Kulm (357) placed third, Linton-HMB (400) placed 4th, and other teams competing were Central Prairie, Ellendale and LaMoure/ Litchville-Marion.

Brett Williams of Central Prairie was the individual Medalist with a 78, followed by James DeLaurier (79) of Edgeley-Kulm, Eli Hilzendeger (83) of Napoleon, Matt Kretschmar (84) of South Border, and Brady Warcken (85) of LaMoure/ Litchville-Marion.

The remaining All-SCC team members were Trent Fettig (85) of Napoleon, Danny Sayler (87) of South Border, Matt Rueb (87) of South Border, Bryce Fettig (90) of Napoleon, and Adam Wishek (90) of South Border.

Competing for Linton- HMB in the tournament were Cody Schlosser (97), Jordan Hulm (99), Wyatt Nagel (100), Brandon Oien (104), Jace Ferderer (112) and Cole Vander Laan (113).
