29th Annual Linton High School Grad Finale will be held May 19

The 29th Annual Linton Grad Finale will be held Sunday, May 19, in the Linton Elementary School Gym. The Grad Finale provides a safe alcohol and drug-free environment for students to honor and celebrate Linton’s Class of 2013. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., and will be locked at 10 p.m. Anyone leaving before the celebration ends will need to sign out and cannot return.

All Linton High School Students and their date/guest, ages 14-20 (14-year olds must be in high school) are invited to attend. Linton High School Seniors attend at no cost. Cost of everyone else is $2.00.

The theme for this year’s Grad Finale is a “Beach Party.” Entertainment includes music by New Generation Music and Video, a Hypnotist provided by Games To Go, and a Photobooth provided by DYPhotobooth.Attendees can also play cards and ping pong. Food and beverages will be served free of charge throughout the event.

All Linton High School seniors will receive a Senior gift bag, which includes a Grad Finale t-shirt. Seniors in attendance will receive a Senior prize valued at approximately $40.00. Seniors will also be eligible to win one of two laptop grand prizes and other grand prizes, which will be given away at the conclusion of the event. Seniors must be present to win the senior prizes and grand prizes.

All attendees are reminded this alcohol/drug-free event includes avoiding these activities prior to the Grad Finale. The Emmons County Sheriff’s Department will be administering the breathalyzer to all attendees prior to entering the Grad Finale. Those who pass the breathalyzer will be allowed into the event.

The Sheriff’s Department will follow their protocol should anyone fail the breathalyzer. If the event attendees display inappropriate behavior, parents will be called to come and pick up their child. If the child is not picked up in a reasonable amount of time, local authorities will be contacted to take the child home.
