Lucille Moser, 77, formerly of Pollock, S.D.
Lucille was born on July 16, 1935 in Pollock, S.D., the daughter of Kasper and Sophia (Weber) Schmidt. She was raised and educated in Pollock.
Lucille married Rienhold Moser on December 9, 1951 at the Herreid Baptist Church parsonage. Following their marriage, they lived and farmed northwest of Pollock. Lucille worked at Atkinson’s Meat Market and Lakeview Motel in Pollock. They retired in 1997 but continued to live on the farm. Rienhold died on Dec. 25, 2012.
Lucille had been a resident of Good Samaritan Center in Herreid and the Golden Living Center in Mobridge. She was currently in the Avera Eureka Health Care Center where she died.
Lucille was a member of Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock American Legion Auxiliary, Pollock Jaycettes, The Moose Club in Mobridge, and the Stateline Snowmobile Club. She taught Sunday school and was a member of the women’s group WIC. She enjoyed gardening, baking, housework, playing cards, playing darts, camping and visiting with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Cindy Moser, Pollock, and Danny and Marlene Moser, Pollock; two daughters and son-in-law, Diane and Rick Weisbeck, Eureka, and Doreen Moser and fiancée Mark Erickson, Stanley; eight grandchildren, Jason (Jamie) Weisbeck,Amy (Ted) Misslitz, Tami (Darrell) Van Beek, Jordan Weisbeck, Ryan Moser, Brad Moser, Bryan Moser and Ronna Moser; four great-grandchildren, Callie and Reagan Weisbeck, Logan and Morgan Van Beek; two brothers and sisters-inlaw, Raymond and Ginny Schmidt,Aberdeen, S.D., and Darold and Cheryl Schmidt, Rapid City, S.D.; a sister, Shirley Vander Laan, Pollock; brother-in-law, Wilbert (Sharon) Moser, Pollock, a sister-in-law, Joanne Bauer, Herreid and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Eva Renner; sisterin law and brother-in-law, Twilla and Peter C. Meyer; brother- in- law, Stanley Bauer; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jake and Freida (Naasz) Moser, and her step-mother-in-law, Maggie (Fisher) Moser.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 am Monday, May 20, 2013, at Pollock Memorial Presbyterian Church, Pollock with the Reverend Floyd Haan officiating. Organist was Joan Wittmeier. Congregational hymns were “I Know Who Holds Tomorrow,” “How Great ThouArt,” and “In The Garden.” Special music by Callie and Reagan- Weisbeck “Jesus Loves Me.” Ushers were Todd Moser and Kent Meyer. Casketbearers were grandchildren, Ryan Moser, Brad Moser, Bryan Moser, Ronna Moser, Jason Weisbeck, Jordan Weisbeck, Amy (Weisbeck) Misslitz and Tami (Moser) Van Beek.
Honorary casketbearers were great-grandchildren.
Burial was in Spring Valley Cemetery, Pollock.
