The Ladies Aid Society met on Monday afternoon with Pastor Stout leading the Bible lesson and Marlyn Van Boven was the hostess and Marge Dykema gave a special number.
On Tuesday noon, Judy Van Beek of Bismarck had lunch with her sister, Irene Anderson, at the Strasburg Care Center and spent the afternoon with her.
Kylie Jelsma, daughter of Aubrey Jelsma and the granddaughter of Marsha (Nieuwsma) and Arthur Jelsma, passed away Tuesday, June 11.

Delmar and Tillie Droog just returned from Katy,Texas, where they attended the high school graduation of their granddaughter, Maddie M. Droog. She is the daughter of Craig and Janet Droog. Maddie was salutatorian of her class of over 600 graduates.
William “Bud” Hollaar, age 86, passed away Saturday, June 15 at Crestwood, Ill. He grew up in the Hull area. He was the son of the late Ike and Hattie Hollaar.
On Saturday noon, Ernest and Carol Dykema and Ron and Clint Dykema were lunch guests of Jan Gilchrist of Bismarck at the Webo’s Restaurant in Linton in honor of Father’s Day. Carol and Ernest met Jan at the parade in Hazelton on Saturday morning for Community Days. Ron is a member of the Legion and they went to see him in the parade.
On Saturday afternoon, Jan Gilchrist visited her aunt, Irene Anderson and Clint Dykema at the Strasburg Care Center. Carol Dykema also was a visitor of Irene and Clint. Jan was a visitor of her parents, Ernest and Carol Dykema.
On June 14-16, about 30 people attended the Haak cousins reunion held in Hull at the Pals’s home and the meals were held at the Hull Christian Reformed Church. Those attending were from South Dakota, Illinois, Minnesota, Iowa and Washington State.
Ken and Mary Jane Haak of Lynden, Wash., were house guests of their aunt and uncle, John and Harriet Haak, as was their son, Deon and Jo Haak ofAberdeen while the reunion was going on.
On Saturday afternoon, Dennis and Marlyn Van Boven and Ron and Diane Van Boven attended the wedding of Dennis and Marlyn's grandson, Lucas Senger, son of Bryan and Lorraine Senger of Bismarck and Josie Reiner, daughter of Ken and Brenda Reiner of Bismarck, at the House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Bismarck.
